28 Dec 2009Electric Sheep is a collaborative abstract artwork founded by Scott Draves. It’s run by thousands of people all over the world, and can be installed on any ordinary PC or MAC.
When these computers “sleep”, the Electric Sheep comes on and the computers communicate with each other by the internet to share the work of creating morphing abstract animations known as “sheep”. The result is a collective “android dream“! An homage to Philip K. Dick’s novel Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep.
The program is recommended only if you have a high-bandwidth, always-on connection to the internet such as DSL or cable modem. Available for Mac OS-X, Windows and Linux.

16 Dec 2009Fake or not? That is the question
Whatever it is, it’s a sleek demo of something kinda’ cool, despite the poor video quality!
It isn’t doing any of the amazing things the Apple Tablet rumor mill would lead you to believe, such as acting as an e-reader for a new magazine format. Instead, it shows someone just browsing a furniture web site or something very similar. Still sleek though! Supposedly the ‘real thing‘ will make it’s debut sometime in 2010.
